some of you may downvote this but this is the truth , brickset does not frequently pull overpays anymore like this is quite outdated , rarely people get offered shogun for it and most of the time it is just scorp , owners have also started to just trade it for fair value , brickset is commonly pulling scorp but is hardly pulling shogun as of now that is why I think this note should change as it is not accurate and outdated

Hyper 5s haven’t been doing well as of late and Orange 5 is no exception to that. Orange has been completely overshadowed by proto, and many think that it only applies to the duped variant but that’s not true: the clean variant has also been overshadowed. People don’t even do Proto 3m for C Orange, let alone Proto 4m. And people who want to downgrade into this hyper would much rather downgrade into Proto adds and go lowball an Orange 5 owner with Proto adds: it’s not like hyper 5s are necessarily drowning in offers, far from it in fact. It’s similar to how purple 4 was, where, the value currently is so overinflated that people refuse to downgrade into it even if they want one because they’d much rather get Proto and better adds and just trade for C Orange with Proto and some of the adds they got. That is, if they’d even want to trade for this hyper at all. It’s also worth mentioning that, historically, duped and clean orange had a difference in value of about a wedge and that difference had become a torero when duped orange 5 dropped to 30m. This created an inadvertent and frankly unneeded value gap between the duped and clean when, realistically, nobody is giving d orange 5 torero for c orange 5: especially considering that c orange isn’t doing better than its duped variant by any means. D orange 5 3m is what I see more often in trading rn.

This is the controversial opinion, I know, but I at least want to say it once. I don't think that dark matter is a very low demand item at all. Most very low demand items, for example, Black widow, are always avoided and lowballed. This on the other hand, sometimes might be avoided, but is almost never lowballed. It consistently gets overpay offers when traded for obtainables like most limiteds, and when traded for limiteds, it gets very decent offers. Dark matter is not doing bad whatsoever, I think it could actually be said that it is doing very good for the season not even being over. The demographic majority of people who want this drift are people who have either not completed the season pass, or are hoarding them, which are more people than you think. When comparing most seasonals locked behind the premium past to normal items, we can see that most of them have relatively more demand and value, but dark matter is just something else. This drift is doing really good for what it is, and I think it's mainly because obviously it's in the season pass and it looks very good. You can disagree with me all you want, but you can't tell me this thing has the same demand as neostatic...

im back with another suggestion to drop this shi. as we all kow hypers are doing terrible rn except for like levels 3s and also green and yellow, expensive hypers are actually doing terrible also. dia 4 is not a special case, when have u seen this thing ever get 45m, it doesnt even pull 44m mostly like literally having a c beig is better than this cause its just so bad like call this an overdrop but go try trade ur dia for base

with the rise in demand of cel and its low price right now, it makes sense that any trader would want one to make profit, everyone knows that when a high tier drops in value and demand it will ALWAYS rebound, and celsior is following that exact pattern right now, its actually looked for by traders and recieves good offers, owners however are not trading their cels since they know its gonna rise, people are trying to get cels any way they can rn, this includes giving base with good demand or slight overpays. anyway the current note doesnt really suit it IMO

Well, to be clear this thing is being downgraded for base if its scorps or paris, and while having proto in the trade does make the offer more attractive, it is clear that proto has lost motion since its not pulling those crazy overpays most high tiers were pulling (beig proto jav torp) some weeks ago, now im not saying proto is doing bad its just not “very hard to get without overpays” because i gotten a lot of protos for base or 500k overpay, not to mention duped ones are straight up getting base and thats it
